Minnesota and Arizona 2023:
Day 12 - Mesa

	Sunday, June 18, 2023: After having cereal for breakfast, and working on the condo for a few hours, we headed over to Del Taco for lunch. We hadn't reached our limit yet, ...
	... and we needed to try the pork carnitas burrito special that was advertised on the outside of the building. This was also the first time we tried the Independence Day Poppers, which was a red, white, and blue lemonade drink with boba balls at the bottom. Delicious!
	It was around noon and their had been no requests for showings, which was a little disheartening. Debbie was obsessively checking the view count on the Zillow listing, but we couldn't decide if what we were seeing was good or bad.
	After lunch, we headed over to a U-Haul dealer to pick up a 20-foot truck that Tom had reserved. It was our first time using the Truck Share process where everything is done through the mobile app. It went very smoothly, especially considering that the U-Haul dealer wasn't open on Sunday.
	Very quickly we were back at the condo, loading up all of the remaining furniture that wouldn't fit in our van. The only large items left were one big dresser, the remaining patio furniture, the beds, and bed frames. Doug and Tom loaded up the truck and headed to Goodwill. There we learned that despite having called and confirmed earlier in the week that Goodwill in tArizona would indeed take beds, the nice people who actually received the donations firmly stated that they absolutely do not take beds OR bed frames. Our original plan had been to keep the truck overnight, load up the beds in the morning, drop them off, and then return the truck. After spending some time trying to figure out what to do, Debbie found a place that would come pick them up on Monday and recycle them. With no more need for the truck, we decided to return it early.
	As Tom was leaving with the U-Haul, he noticed a car pulling slowly into the short drive to unit 68. Could this be someone interested in the condo? It was indeed! Debbie and Doug had a nice conversation with a woman who was with her son and his wife. They didn't have a realtor, but they wanted to know if they could see the place. Our realtor had advised us not to show the place to anyone without a realtor, so they politely declined, told them more about the place, and recommended that she call our realtor for a showing. Debbie and Doug picked Tom up at the U-Haul dealer, filled him in on what happened, and then we headed over to the Stadium Club in Tempe for dinner. Why go to a Green Bay Packer-themed bar in Arizona for dinner, you say?
	Because cousin Rachel is the manager there, that's why!
	We ordered appetizers of fried shrimp and fried cheese curds. Debbie ordered steak fingers and onion rings, ...
	... and Tom was very happy with his burger and fries, ...
	... and Doug ordered wings with two different sauces.
	We had a great time with Rachel, and looked forward to seeing her at the Schilling Reunion coming up in September.
	The sun was setting as we returned to Mesa, and we realized that this would be the last time that we would be seeing this exit sign for Higley Road. Day 13 >
