Claire Wiegand's Story: 2005 - 2006

This was Claire's second year at Sheridan High School. The terrific Sheridan kids amazed us again when a large group of them, led by Claire's teacher, Mr. Moore, showed up at the annual Polar Bear Plunge fundraiser in Indianapolis. Their enthusiasm was infectious and their group ended up raising the most money for Special Olympics.

	Claire turned sixteen in July, and celebrated with some new electronic toys from Grandma Bundy. (July 2005)
	At a family gathering in the Wisconsin Dells, we spent some time playing in the outdoor and indoor waterparks. Claire loves being in a pool, and prefers to splash around on her own, but she tolerated Mom bouncing her around in the warm water. (October 2005)
	She also had a blast on the water slide with her cousin Melissa. (October 2005)
	Claire participated in MATP again at the Special Olympics Fall Classic. We documented it all, included Claire's delight at hearing the names announced over the loudspeaker. (October 2005)
	The theme for this year's Special Olympics Hamilton County annual danceathon fundraiser was Mardi Gras, so we put on our finest baubles. Claire doesn't like crowds, but we enjoy seeing friends and supporting Special Olympics. (November 2005)
	On Christmas Eve, we got this lovely photo of our girls in front of our Christmas tree. (December 2005)
	A long wait at the doctor's office for a checkup turned into a photo opportunity for Claire and Mom. (June 2006)
