In 2003, one of Debbie's coworkers dreamed up Orchy, an unofficial mascot
for the Orchard Software Development
department. Made of an Orchard Software toy apple, pipe cleaners, and
a pair of googly eyes, he was content to sit on a shelf. When we visited
the Ice Hotel over the Christmas holiday in
2003, we decided to take Orchy along. Thus began Orchy's series of travels.
Since then, he's joined us for nearly every vacation, and tagged along
with several of Debbie's colleagues as well. He's even been kidnapped!
